The Eureka Events Committee has decided to move the event due to inclement weather conditions at the park. The celebration will still be at 3:00 pm Saturday, January 21, 2017, to honor Eureka native Ben Zobrist, two-time World Series Champion and the first ever Cubs World Series MVP. The celebration will include an appearance by Ben Zobrist, Senator Jason Barickman, Representative Tom Bennett, Alderman Eric Lind, and two of Ben’s former Eureka coaches Bob Gold and Craig Gerdes. There will be an unveiling of the Honorary Ben Zobrist Way sign and Ben will speak to his fans. We look forward to welcoming Ben back to Eureka and are excited to celebrate this day with everyone! Doors will open at 1:30 pm. No tickets are necessary; admittance will be on a first come first serve basis. Reagan Athletic Center & Christine Bonati Bollwinkle Arena and Convocation Center is located at 505 Reagan Drive, Eureka, IL 61530.
Notice our name change! We started as the Eureka Sesquicentennial Committee in 2009 and then became the Reagan Fest Committee for the next 7 years. Since the committee does more than just a festival we decided to change our name to include all of our events plus any future events. After an overwhelmingly successful and fun first annual rodeo in Eureka, the committee has set their eyes on bringing more rodeo action and excitement to town. As the 2016 Big Hat "Rich & Famous" tour finale rodeo you'll see more cowboys, & increased prize money, awards and seating. The spectacular bucking livestock of the Big Hat Rodeo Company will attract the best cowboys & cowgirls in the nation. New for 2016 will be a "Meet the Cowboys & Clowns" where kids of all ages can enjoy some interactive & fun games as well take a chute tour to meet the animal stars of the show. More thrills, spills and laughs are guaranteed so mark your calendars today. The Eureka "Rich & Famous Tour Finale Rodeo is Friday, Sept 30 and Saturday, October 1 at 7PM daily. See you at the rodeo!
